"Battling it out to the last point, the Lady Falcons finished with their heads high and deservingly so," Coach Emily Vaughn said. "They rallied behind each other and really pushed North Central up to the last point." Vaughn said the Lady Falcons had a week full of Homecoming festivities and "it brought out the best in the volleyball team." "We played with a lot more intensity and energy tonight, partly due to the crowd, but mostly due to the confidence that the girls displayed on the court," she said. "The confidence carried over into our offense, which had been lacking up to this point." Elkhorn Valley (1-5) will host 2-4 Plainview next Tuesday night.
