It’s time once again to celebrate the annual holiday program at the Tilden Public Library.
"Rock the Library Holiday Program" is planned on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the Tilden Public Library Lied Auditorium, 202 S. Center St. in Tilden. The doors of the library's Lied Auditorium will open at 6:15 p.m. so that guests may enjoy light snacks and refreshments, compliments of the Friends of the Library. The show will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., with an intermission which will include holiday treats. Performing for this year’s program will be the very talented and highly acclaimed Talbott Brothers from Omaha. Born and raised in Imperial, Nebraska, brothers Nick and Tyler Talbott realized their love for music at a very young age, rehearsing and playing with friends in bands whenever possible. Described as the harmonizing rock duo with a folksy blues and rock style, the Talbott Brothers released their debut album, Leaving Home, in 2012. After performing in local and regional venues and completing a 17 show tour from the Midwest to the East Coast, including Chicago, New York and New Jersey, the band took from their experiences and wrote material for additional albums, "The Road" and "Coming Home." Their most recent album, "Places," was released in 2015. Since their formation in 2012, these singer/songwriter brothers have entertained crowds at more than 300 national shows coast to coast. “Bringing these groups to Tilden for holiday events is our way of thanking members of the community and surrounding areas for their support throughout the year,” said Library Director Cindy Simeon. Performing for this year’s program will be the very talented and highly acclaimed Talbott Brothers from Omaha. Funding for this free event is made possible with support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, along with the Tilden Library Foundation.
