The Nebraska Walleye Association Kids Fishing Clinics Charity is helping kick of Tilden Prairie Days with a kid's fishing event in Tilden.
The event will take place at the Tilden City Pond July 28 with check in at 5:00. A meal will be served at 5:15, and the workshop will start at 6:00. After the workshop concludes, kids will be able to fish in the pond. The workshop will be put on by instructors from the NWA Kids Fishing Clinics Charity and the Nebraska Game and Parks. Kids will learn everything they need to know about fishing, including casting, knot tying, bait, tackle, water safety, fish identification, and anatomy. All participants will receive a certificate, fishing rod and reel and other free items. There is a limit of 75 kids for the workshop. To register, email [email protected] with the name of the child, their date of birth, name of parent, address, email address and phone number by July 26th.
