[email protected] Neligh Senior Legion started off strong Wednesday night against O'Neill but were unable to finish in a 6-5 loss. Neligh jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning but gave up four in the second inning and one in both the third and fourth innings. Neligh did all their damage offensively in the first two innings, scoring their other two runs in the bottom of the second. The Neligh offense was lead by Damon Arehart's two RBIs on two hits. Arehart also scored one run. Jordan Murray, Clayton Anderson and Luke Jacobsen each brough in a runner as well. Murray and Tyson Zegers each added two hits in the effort. Chase Kallhoff got the start on the mound for Neligh, going four innings and allowing all six of O'Neill's runs. He recorded seven strikeouts before being replaced by Zegers for the final three innings. Zegers held O'Neill scoreless during his time on the mound, recording five strikeouts. |
